For the third year running, Securit World have won the Datacard ‘Distributor of the Year’ award.
Steve Digpaul, Datacard’s EMEIA Channel Director said he sees the relationship developing further over FY09, with both companies working together to make inroads into the UK desktop market.
"When it comes to selling ID printers and systems, Securit World are undoubtedly the market leaders in both the UK and Europe. From the moment they joined the Datacard team, they have proven their worth and have justifiably won the distributor of the year award for each of their 3 years with us. This hat trick isn’t down to luck, but to experience, enthusiasm and the fact that they provide a service second to none."
"We have a long and close relationship with Securit’s managing director, Ed Heyden and his team and have very much enjoyed working with them to help drive and grow business in the UK. We will continue to work together towards large ID card issuance projects in the region, on a segment specific basis," he added.
Ed Heyden, comments: " Datacard are the big boys in the card industry and with the introduction of the SP series, they have finally taken a grip on the desktop market. Their very price competitive printers have been a very welcome addition to our range and the Smart Trade program has proven to be exceedingly popular in the UK market as one can upgrade to a new printer at almost the price it would cost to take out a maintenance contract."
Steve Digpaul adds: "9 out of 10 credit cards are produced using Datacard’s high end solutions. Datacard are world leaders in card personalization. With this in mind, we felt Securit World were the natural partners to represent Datacard in the desktop market and between us we have made massive inroads over the last 3 years."
Market growth in the demand for identity solutions and management in both
commercial and public sectors has led to advancements in higher access security and solutions for desktop badging, ID and security management.
Datacard Group and its premier distributor in the UK, Securit World, anticipate even further growth as generic offerings become more segment specific, allowing resellers to move away from price competition by adding value through integrated solutions for compatible market audiences.
Segmentation can apply to a customer’s specific need for access control, visitor badging, enterprise-wide ID or multi-applications in sector such as higher education. Convergence of physical and logical security, or ensuring a badging solution is compatible with an organisation’s IT infrastructure, is critical for maintaining security at the highest level.
This influences all area of public and working life including government agencies, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, corporate offices, leisure establishments, casinos and sports stadia.
